Guy Redvers Lyle papers, circa 1947-1986.

The collection consists of papers of Guy Redvers Lyle from ca. 1947-1986. The bulk of the collection includes library consultant files (1947-1976) contain correspondence, architectural drawings, and reports pertaining to Lyle's consulting work with colleges on all aspects of library organization and use. The collection also includes records of the Southeastern Interlibrary Research Facility, and its predecessor the Georgia-Florida Committee for Planning Research Library Cooperation, including correspondence (1954-1958); meeting minutes (1954-1956); memoranda, notes, and agendas (1953-1958); and miscellaneous printed material. In addition, the papers contain manuscripts, galley proofs, and press copies of Lyle's writings; pamphlets; and clippings.
